5 hokage candidates who deserve to replace Naruto if he dies

0

Uzumaki Naruto has finally realized his dream to become the Hokage.

These dreams have been expressed since he had not yet entered the ninja academy.

Despite being full of obstacles, with his hard work and determination, Naruto officially became the seventh Hokage to replace Kakashi's hatake in the era of Boruto: Naruto Next Generation.

However, it looks like the Naruto period won't be that long.

This is evident from how intense the battles Naruto now has to face.

Even though he might not die in the upcoming Boruto manga chapter 52, there is still a possibility that Naruto will still die in the next chapters.

But for now, Boruto manga chapter 52 will be the highlight of whether the Hokage can survive or not.

Now that he is, Masashi Kishimoto has returned as the writer of Boruto stories to replace Ukyo Kodachi.

Masashi himself is famous for being merciless in killing characters, for example Asuma, Neji, and even Jiraya, all of which aim to trigger the main character to become even stronger.

So who are the next Hokage candidates if Naruto has to die in the Boruto manga?

5 hokage candidates who deserve to replace Naruto if he dies

5. Sasuke Uchiha

If there was someone who was a citizen of Konohagakure and had the same level of strength as Naruto, it would only be Sasuke Uchiha.

But why is he in the lowest position?

It should be noted that Sasuke spent most of his adult life trying to atone for the sins he had committed, and he is also known as the Shadow Hokage / hokage who protects the village of Konoha from the shadows.

So he will definitely commit to helping the Village people in any way.

But Sasuke doesn't really have Naruto's charm, and he even looks cold at times.

But the strong reason he is on the last list is that he is currently fighting with Naruto against Isshiki.

And there is a possibility that Sasuke won't survive the battle either, so Sasuke's chance of becoming Hokage is very slim.

But if he survived, the most potential candidate would be Sasuke Uchiha.

4. Konohamaru Sarutobi

Konohamaru is a Jonin who is currently in charge of Team 7 Konoha where he oversees the development and training of Boruto Uzumaki, Sarada Uchiha, and Mitsuki.

He holds the ambition that one day he will become Hokage, like his friend and hero, Naruto Uzumaki.

Konohamaru learned the Rasengan from Naruto and is currently the strongest Jutsu he has.

Konohamaru's strength and determination means he will continue to grow stronger, meaning that one day he might be able to achieve his dreams.

Even now, Konohamaru is said to be the strongest and best Jonin in his generation.

We know he's mastered many of the same skills as Naruto. He may not have as much power as Naruto (yet), but he did learn from some of the best shinobi in the franchise, including Naruto himself.

In addition, he is the grandson of the Hokage sandaime, Hiruzen Sarutobi, so it is only fitting that Konohamaru be a candidate.

3. Tsunade Senju

Like Kakashi, Lady Tsunade had already filled the role of Hokage while serving as the fifth Hokage

The village turned to him, despite him being a wandering gambler for decades, after the Third Hokage lost his life in battle with Orochimaru.

Part of the reason for choosing Tsunade was because she knew the village's enemies better than anyone but Jiraiya.

When Orochimaru was no longer the enemy, he might not be the best for the village, but unlike most of Konohagakure's choices, he did lead the village into war.

Tsunade knows the tedious part of diplomatic work and the quick response it takes when a village is threatened.

And if Kakashi doesn't want to take office again, Tsunade can be the best choice.

2. Kakashi Hatake

Kakashi may have been Naruto's predecessor as Hokage, but that doesn't mean he can't do the job anymore.

However, when the Fourth Hokage lost his life protecting Konohagakure, the Third Hokage took over the role again.

Kakashi may not be as strong as Sandaime, and he may not be the leader during the war, but he is highly respected in Konoha Village and in the 5 great countries.

If something forced Naruto to step down prematurely, he would be a great candidate for the role again.

He also loved the village enough that he would not refuse outright if asked.

The problem is, Kakashi once said that he wanted to retire and enjoy his old age.

1. Shikamaru Nara

The strongest candidate to replace Naruto is of course Shikamaru Naru.

As a genius villager, and Naruto's most trusted advisor, Shikamaru already knows the ins and outs of the job.

Although physically not as strong as a character at Naruto's level, Shikamaru made up for this with his intelligence.

Shikamaru can read dozens of steps ahead of his opponents, making him a cunning fighter.

He also exhibits exceptional leadership skills and has led his Ino-Shika-Cho generation to numerous victories, so he is a suitable candidate to replace Naruto as Hokage.

The only problem is that Shikamaru most likely doesn't want the job as he would rather help others lead the way.

But currently only he can be trusted to carry out the task, if the fifth and sixth Hokage do not want to take up another position.

So, those are the 5 Hokage candidates if something bad happens to Naruto Uzumaki in his fight against Isshiki, which might end in chapter 53.
