Hataraku Saibou Black Anime Release Date Announced

Hataraku Saibou anime, which is about the personification of the workings of the human body's cells as previously reported, will continue in its second season in January 2021.

There is also a side comic entitled Hataraku Saibou Black, also known as Cells at Work! Code Black has also been announced to be adapted into an anime, which will also be released in January 2021.

Hideyo Yamamoto will direct the anime at LIDEN FILMS, accompanied by Hayashi Mori as the script writer. Eiji Abiko is handling the character designs, and Yugo Kanno is handling the music.

Hataraku Saibou Anime! adapted from the comic series by Akane Shimizu which was first published in March 2015 in Kadokawa publisher's comic magazine Monthly Shonen Sirius. The first season of the anime was produced by studio david production, directed by Kenichi Suzuki (JoJo's Bizzare Adventure, Drifters).

Apart from the main series, a number of side or spin-off series have also been released in Japan. In a series also known as Cells at Work! This tells the story of the activity of various body cells contained in a healthy human body.


The story itself focuses on the budding Red Blood Cells (voiced by Kana Hanazawa) which are just working in the human body to deliver nutrients and oxygen.

He finally meets the White Blood Cell, aka Neutrophil (Tomoaki Maeno), whose job is to eradicate various pathogenic bacteria that infiltrate the body.Together with other body cells, they work to keep the body healthy and protect the body from pathogenic bacteria and extreme conditions, such as allergies and heat stroke.

As for Hataraku Saibou Black or Cells at Work! Code Black is a side comic written by Shigemitsu Harada, with illustrations by Issei Hatsuyoshi. This comic was released in 2018 and is still running up to 6 volumes.
