The official site for the anime adaptation of the light novel Seirei Gensouki (Spirit Chronicles) written by Yuri Kitayama and illustrated by Riv, has started releasing the second trailer for the series. The video only confirms that the series will air this year, so more information regarding the release date, OP / ED songs and more will follow at a later time.

Kitayama began publishing the novel Seirei Gensouki via the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in February 2012. On October 1, 2015, the first volume was published by HJ Bunko using illustrations by Riv. Synopsis of Seirei Gensouki:

Amakawa Haruto is a boy who died before being reunited with his childhood friend who disappeared five years ago. Rio is a boy who lives in the suburbs trying to get revenge for his mother's death which happened when he was five years old. Earth and other worlds. Two people with different backgrounds and values. For some reason, the memories and personality of Haruto who should have died reincarnated in Rio's body. So that the two of them feel confused about their fused memories and personalities, Rio finally decides to live in a new world.
